What to do in the event of an accident:
– Include all cars involved
– Show the full accident scene in detail
– Close in on the location and damage to each vehicle
– Identify the location of any debris from the accident within the scene
– Any visible injuries on every person involved, including the vehicle in the picture
– Include any witnesses with the vehicles to prove their presence at the scene
– Any additional shots you may deem helpful for your specific accident
– Record where the witness was located when the accident occurred
– Ask the witness the following questions:
a.Speed of all vehicles
b.The location where the witness first saw the vehicle prior to the accident
c.The time-lapse between the identification of the vehicle and moment of
impact
d.Who they believe to be at fault and why
– Insist that they write down what occurred, admit their fault, and include their signature and date. Record the process if possible.
– If the opposite party attempts to leave the scene before police arrive, inform them that you will report the accident as a hit and run and remain until police arrive to document the accident
-Never claim that you are not injured when asked at the scene, sometimes injuries are not apparent until later. State that you are too shaken up to be sure and you will need to be checked out.
-Report to an emergency room if you experience any pain or discomfort
-Make an appointment with your primary physician
